President/Founder michael@mlhealthcare.com Download vCardMichael Sciacchetano serves as President of ML Healthcare which he founded in 2006. Michael has more than 20 years’ experience in healthcare business development, management and operations.
Michael’s extensive knowledge of healthcare services began in 1995 when he founded Independent Diagnostic Services Inc., (IDS) a mobile diagnostic services company that provided physicians and hospitals in the Southeast access to testing services integral to the provision of quality care in rural communities. In addition, Michael owned and operated home health agencies in Louisiana and provided administrative management services to physician networks and medical groups.
Prior to founding ML Healthcare, Michael was CEO of Shadows Bend Development Inc. a publicly traded company designed to acquire, construct and manage Assisted Living and Alzheimer facilities in Florida, Illinois, and Louisiana.
Mr. Sciacchetano received his bachelors of Science degree in business from Louisiana State University and lives in Atlanta, GA with his wife Vanessa and their three children; Mia, Riley and William.

Prior to joining ML Healthcare, Brian was the principal of Freeport Holdings, LLC, a private business development company. Before the formation of Freeport Holdings, Brian was co-founder of Cbeyond, Inc. (Nasdaq: CBEY), an IP based business communications company. Brian held several senior executive positions from 1999 through 2006. During those years, Cbeyond transitioned from a venture-funded start-up into a profitable publicly traded corporation with over $275MM in revenues and over a $1.2B market capitalization.
Prior to co-founding Cbeyond, Brian was with Intermedia Communications (Nasdaq: ICIX) until its acquisition by WorldCom (Nasdaq: WCOM). From 1991-1999 Brian was responsible for many senior sales and marketing roles most notably the creation of a $100M Government Services business unit. Brian’s business career began with GTE/Sprint in 1988 after attending Florida State University.
Brian is a resident of the Atlanta area with his wife Bonnie and his children, Abigail, Jackson and William and contributes in the community by being an active Board member and Chairman of the Furniture Bank of Metro Atlanta, an organization that provides furniture to previously homeless families, families fleeing domestic violence and families who live with HIV/AIDS

Executive Vice President katherine.scott@mlhealthcare.com Download vCardPrior to accepting the position of Vice President of Legal Operations with ML Healthcare in 2010, Katherine played an integral part in the startup of a specialty law firm utilizing her background as a paralegal and experience in the insurance industry to make it one of the fastest growing personal injury firms in Atlanta.
Katherine’s knowledge of the insurance industry was gained through thirteen years as claims manager for the Mark Gilliam Agency which included Nationwide, Progressive, and Travelers Insurance to name a few. In addition to writing policies, she was responsible for evaluating all incoming claims and managing the agency loss ratios.
Katherine lives in Alpharetta. She enjoys boating and travel.

In this role, she worked closely with injured plaintiffs to design individually customized structured settlement plans providing future periodic payments. Through the course of her career she regularly assisted attorneys in case evaluation, and interfaced with all parties relevant to a settlement. Sarah attended settlement conferences and mediations to maximize the best structure for each individual client.
Sarah’s extensive knowledge of the personal injury field also comes from her experience working as a paralegal specializing in litigation based suits, as well as various other areas of law.
Sarah now serves as Vice President of Business Development for ML Healthcare and is an integral part of the ongoing relationships with personal injury attorneys in Georgia and the surrounding Southeast region. She also helps MLH to further support GTLA and the Civil Justice PAC.
Sarah is a graduate of Kent State University where she graduated Magna Cum Laude. She also holds life, accident and health licenses in multiple states.
